Intercooler Fan Kit, VDJ70 Series LandCruiser

The Power Torque Intercooler fan kit is designed to bolt directly onto the standard VDJ70 series Toyota LandCruisers fitted with the 1VD-FTV engine with either the early pre-DPF or later DPF models.

The standard Toyota Landcruiser 1VD V8 engines are prone to heat soak of the factory top-mounted intercooler due to lack of airflow. When the heat soak occurs, the vehicle’s ECU will decrease the engine’s performance leaving you with up to 20% less power and torque.

There is limited airflow over the factory intercooler when driving at low speeds, especially in sand or towing where the engine is under heavy load. These are the times when the dual fans really come into place by blowing cool air over the intercooler and decreasing the intercooler temperature.
